With direct flights, Seville can be reached up to 4 times a week from Zurich in approx. 2.5 hours.
Location
Seville lies directly on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. Many traces of the multicultural past of the city are still preserved and testify to the golden era of the former important trading city.
Real Alcázar
The medieval royal palace of Seville is an impressive building complex. The most different epochs of history are united here on one place. Especially the oriental patios of the palace complex testify to the Moorish past and you feel like in a fairy tale from 1001 nights. The magical gardens with a multitude of fountains, waterspouts and the free living peacocks will inspire you.
The complex is also used as a backdrop for numerous shootings. For example for the Kingdom of Dorne of the fantastic series "Games of Thrones".
Other sights of Seville
One of the most impressive sights of Seville is the Metropol Parasol. One of the largest wooden constructions in the world. The building consists of 6 "parasols" in the form of gigantic mushrooms and has 5 levels. In the basement is the historical museum and antiquarium. On the ground floor is the market hall, framed by various shops and bars. On the next two floors are a restaurant and a hall for events. At the top is the highlight: the panorama terrace with a fantastic view of the old town of Seville.
Tablaos flamencos
Practically every evening performances take place in the so-called "tablaos flamencos". The impressive performances of the Andalusian dance will inspire you!
Discover the city on 2 wheels
Seville is very flat and therefore predestined to be discovered by bike. More than 170 km of cycle paths and numerous bicycle rental companies are at your disposal 24 hours a day.
