Itinerary
1st day: Arrival in Lucerne
Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport. Overnight in Lucerne.

2nd day: Lucerne to Mount Titlis (4h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a ride in the first revolving gondola to Mount Titlis at 3020 m. In Lucerne you board the train to Engelberg. At the valley station in Engelberg you board the 8-seater cable cars directly to Stand station. From there the revolving gondola Titlis Rotair takes you straight up to the summit of Mt. Titlis. For a spectacular close-up insight into a glacier, you visit the glacier cave and ride the Ice Flyer chairlift. And get your thrills on the Titlis Cliff Walk, a spectacular suspension bridge at a height of 3041 m. Overnight in Lucerne.

3rd day: Luzern to Interlaken (2h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Rail journey from Lucerne to Interlaken over the Brünig Pass via the wood-carving village of Brienz. Day at leisure for optional excursions. Overnight in Interlaken.

4th day: Interlaken to Jungfraujoch (4h)
The beautiful Bernese Oberland! First from Interlaken Ost via Grindelwald or Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Face. Then by Jungfrau Railway via the Eiger Glacier to the Jungfraujoch – at 3454 m the highest railway station in Europe. Views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Overnight in Interlaken.

5th day: Interlaken to Zermatt (2h30)
Travel either via the Lötschberg base tunnel directly to Visp and further to Zermatt. Or by the RegioExpress Lötschberger – the train with big windows using the Lötschberg mountain route, passing the imposing Kander Viaduct, the helical tunnel around the Felsenburg and the descent to Brig with the imposing view onto the Rhone Valley and continue your journey to Zermatt. Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn, is the perfect Alpine resort. On arrival you may take the opportunity to go on an optional excursion to Mount Rothorn to enjoy the best view of the Matterhorn. Overnight in Zermatt.

6th day: Zermatt to Gornergrat (1h40)
Board the cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Overnight in Zermatt.

7th day: Departure from Zermatt
Return to Swiss border or airport or individual onward journey.

This tour can also be booked in the opposite direction.

From Lucerne the train takes you to the mountain monastery village Engelberg where you board the Titlis Xpress to Stand. From there the world's first revolving cable car Titlis Rotair takes you up to Mount Titlis. On the way to Lucerne we recommend a stop at Arth-Goldau. There you take the cogwheel railway up to Mount Rigi. Or you take the boat from Lucerne to Weggis and board the aerial cableway. The «Queen of the Mountains» offers 100 kilometers of hiking trails with a stunning panorama. On Europe's first cogwheel train you will get back to Vitznau where you can take a boat back to Lucerne. » When: 19.4.-2.11. + 15.11.2020-1.4.2021. Duration: half day.
