On this journey you will not be able to resist the fascination. The Tops of Switzerland offers you more than just mountains. On the Jungfraujoch you will be seduced by an unbelievable panorama of the largest four-thousanders and the Aletsch Glacier, which will almost take your breath away.

Welcome to breathtaking views and unforgettable moments in the Bernese Oberland. Interlaken is the gateway to the three majestic mountains: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and is situated between the lakes Thun and Brienz.

Lucerne is the perfect city with an impressive combination of water, mountains and city. Enjoy a boat trip on Lake Lucerne and a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. A ride on the new dragon train to Mount Pilatus, Lucerne's local mountain, is also one of the highlights of this tour.

Travel details

1st day: Arrival in Interlaken
Arrival in Interlaken by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight in Interlaken.

2nd day: Interlaken to Jungfraujoch (4h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion from Interlaken up to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. From Interlaken Ost the train takes you via Grindelwald or Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Face. The Jungfrau Railway takes you up to the Jungfraujoch – at 3454 m the highest railway station in Europe. Breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Overnight in Interlaken.

3rd day: Interlaken to Lucerne (2h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Rail journey over the Brünig Pass to Lucerne. Rest of the day at leisure for sightseeing or excursions. Overnight in Lucerne.

4th day: Lucerne - Pilatus (4h)
Breakfast at the hotel. Lake Lucerne cruise from Lucerne to Alpnachstad, then up to the Pilatus Kulm 2132 m by the steepest cogwheel railway in the world (from app. mid May to November), during winter you take the bus from Lucerne to Kriens and further with the panorama gondolas from Kriens up to the summit on Pilatus Kulm. Time at leisure. Overnight in Lucerne.

5th day: Departure from Lucerne
Breakfast at the hotel. Return to Swiss border or airport or individual onward journey.

This tour can also be booked in the opposite direction.

Enjoy a boat trip on lake Lucerne and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. In Alpnachstad you will board the steepest cogwheel railway in the world to reach the summit. Then take the aerial cableway and the panoramic gondolas back to Kriens where you board the bus to go back to Lucerne. » When: daily, from mid-May to mid-October from/to Lucerne. Duration: 4 hours.

From Lucerne the train takes you to the mountain monastery village Engelberg where you board the Titlis Xpress to Stand. From there the world's first revolving cable car Titlis Rotair takes you up to Mount Titlis. Visit the glacier cave, ride the Ice Flyer chairlift or get your thrills on the Titlis Cliff Walk. » When: 1.1.-1.11. + 14.11.-31.12.2020. Duration: half day.

On the way to Lucerne we recommend a stop at Arth-Goldau. There you take the cogwheel railway up to Mount Rigi. Or you take the boat from Lucerne to Weggis and board the aerial cableway. The «Queen of the Mountains» offers 100 kilometers of hiking trails with a stunning panorama. On Europe's first cogwheel train you will get back to Vitznau where you can take a boat back to Lucerne. » When: 19.4.-2.11. + 15.11.2020-1.4.2021. Duration: half day.
